‘Beetlejuice 2’ premieres its official trailer with Jenna Ortega and Michael Keaton

Warner Bros. has released a new trailer for Beetlejuice Beetlejuicethe sequel to the 1988 comedy-horror classic. Michael Keaton returns as the foul-mouthed, shape-shifting ghost along with new cast members Jenna Ortega, Willem Dafoe, Monica Bellucci and Justin Theroux. They also reprise their roles from the original film Winona Ryder and Catherine O’Hara.

In Beetlejuice Beetlejuice The Deetz clan returns to their home in Winter River after a sudden death in the family. When Lydia’s (Ryder) rebellious teenage daughter, Astrid (Ortega), discovers a portal to the afterlife hidden in the basement, The name of the mischievous spirit Beetlejuice is inevitably repeated three times, inviting him to wreak havoc on the Deetz family home once again.

Beetlejuice Beetlejuice is the latest horror title starring the scream queen Ortega, who has made a name for himself as a staple of the genre.

Previously, he starred in the Netflix original series Merlina as the main member of the Addams Family, as well as x by Ti West and two installments of the rebooted franchise scream.

However, it was recently announced that Ortega would not return for Scream 7 due to a scheduling conflict with season 2 of Merlina.

Tim Burton returns to produce and direct the sequel to Beetlejuice from a script by the same people who made the one Merlina, Alfred Gough and Miles Millar.

Executive producers include Brad Pitt, David Katzenberg, Laurence Senelick, Gough, Millar, Sara Desmond, Katterli Frauenfelder and Andrew Lary. Tommy Harper, Dede Gardner and Jeremy Kleiner are producers. Danny Elfman will compose the film’s music.

Beetlejuice Beetlejuice will arrive in theaters from September 6. Watch the trailer below:

The full trailer of Beetlejuice Beetlejuice was released on May 23, 2024. This one begins with Winona Ryder’s Lydia Deetz speaking directly to the audience while pressing play on the movie. “Here’s a preview. Be careful. It’s intense”says the character.

After an opening scene, we hear Jenna Ortega as Astrid Deetz: “I can’t believe grandpa is dead“. His mother answers: “death is hard“. But the sarcastic teenager responds: “Yes, sometimes I think life is harder”. The following scenes preview the sinister return of Beetlejuice, giving us a look at his reunion with Lydia. In the first trailer, the clip is set to a children’s choir’s performance of Harry Belafonte’s “Day-O (The Banana Boat Song),” a callback to one of the original film’s most iconic scenes.
