President Andrés Manuel López Obrador reacted to the delivery of the results of the elections that were held yesterday at the national level, considered “the largest in the history of Mexico”, the holders of 20,708 positions have already been renewed, among which his replacement as head of the Executive Branch, which for the first time will be headed by a woman.

In his morning press conference, the president considered that the National Electoral Institute (INE) “took a long time” to deliver the results of the presidential elections, after the presidential advisor, Guadalupe Taddei, presented the first estimates of the Quick Vote Count at 12:30 a.m. on June 3 and not at 11:00 p.m. on Sunday, as planned.

“Why expose candidates to candidates, fortunately everything is back on track, and I said that we are going to inform people about what happened on the day and also inform people about the official results, which was announced very late by the INE.

“When the celebration was in the Zócalo, the rockets woke me up, but I had already been asleep for a while, we are going to see each other in a few days, any day when she can because she is receiving calls, heads of state are congratulating her , presidents, leaders, I also believe that there are many happy people in the world, many very happy people,” he said at the National Palace.
