On the morning of this Wednesday, June 5, an unfortunate accident occurred on Colombia Street on Ferrocarril Avenue, where a couple traveling on a motorcycle collided with a public transport bus, leaving them dead.
As soon as the accident was recorded, it was reported that the woman lost her life immediately, while the driver was alive, as witnesses to the accident were able to notice that he was breathing. However, when emergency agencies arrive, they confirm that the man had also died, due to the strong impact.

«“We deeply regret what happened this morning on the Colombia bridge in the east-west direction where a couple of approximately 30 years of age who were traveling on a motorcycle collided with a bus that was picking up passengers and died immediately on the spot.” . expressed Mateo González Benítez Secretary of Mobility.
Along with the above, the Secretary of Mobility, on behalf of the Mayor’s Office of Medellín, took the opportunity to make clear recommendations to motorcyclists to avoid accidents of all levels.
«This is a clear case of how recklessness and how not driving the motorcycle properly can cost us our lives. So far this year, more than 70% of the deaths that have occurred in the city of Medellín have involved a motorcycle and that is why I want to especially appeal to motorcyclists, please drive with caution, the motorcycle is an extremely dangerous vehicle. “They are completely unprotected, nothing protects them from a collision, fasten your helmet properly, do not drive at excessive speed.”
