500 runners celebrate Global Running Day in Valencia to commemorate Environment Day

Valencia, European Green Capital 2024has organized the activity Global Running Day to commemorate the World Environment Day. 500 runners from the city’s clubs have participated in a collective training with the aim of running for the sustainability of the planet.

The participants have worn a dorsal made with seeds and paper which can be planted and germinated to become a plant. Valencia Ciudad del Running has organized a training session 5 kmround trip between the Exhibition Pont and the Ciutat de les Arts i les Ciències.

Furthermore, to encourage awareness and respect for the environment, the celebration of the Global Running Day, Valencia Ciudad del Running, will certify the collection of 1 kilo of plastic from the city’s beaches for each number who has participated in the activity.
