What is a pen?

The bolis, also known as hielitos, bambinos or frozen, are a type of ice cream in a bag that is made from fresh fruits or mixtures with milk and flavorings.

This type of ice cream is prepared and consumed in many regions of Latin America, especially during hot weather, although in some places it is sold throughout the year.

Fruit pens use natural water and sometimes include pieces of fruit, while the creamiest ones have a milk or yogurt base.
