Grandparents of the Homeland enjoy a “full day” in Los Roques

President Nicolás Maduro expressed his joy at the fulfillment of his promise to bring the Grandfathers and grandmothers to discover the beautiful beaches of the country, on a full day to Los Roques.

In a message published on his X social network account, the president shared images of the first group of older adults who traveled to the Los Roques archipelago for free, as part of the Great Grandfathers and Grandmothers of the Homeland Mission.

Very nice images came to me from our grandparents. and grandmothers enjoying a well-deserved “full day” in Los Roques. As I promised, we are going to comply with everything proposed in Congress. Seeing them enjoy the best beaches in the Caribbean makes me happy!” wrote the head of state.

Keeping promises

This initiative is part of the actions undertaken by the national government to provide well-being and recreation to older adults from the country.

Let us remember that on May 29, President Maduro instructed the Minister of Tourism Alí Padrón, to implement special tourist plans for this sector of the population.

330 tourist packages

In response to Maduro’s instruction, Minister Padrón reported that his office had already It has 330 guided tour packages to the country’s older adults. These plans are accessible through the Carnet de la Patria. In addition, they will allow grandparents to enjoy the natural and tourist attractions of Venezuela.
