Barcelona puts on its best clothes to become a festival city for another summer. If last week the Parc del Fòrum in Barcelona hosted a new edition of Primavera Sound, this Friday the 7th, and until Sunday, the same location will become, for the second consecutive year, the headquarters of the Share Festival Negrita, the urban music event which is cited with the youngest and which has not stopped growing since it was conceived, six editions ago.

Chanel, Lola Índigo, Cali y el Dandee or Myke Towers are just some of the most prominent names on a poster, in which the presence of women artists stands out. “One of my dreams is to achieve that one year it will all be women,” acknowledges Stefano Maccarone, director of the festival, who reveals what they hope to do. sold out on Friday or, what is the same, 20,000 tickets sold. A milestone that he hopes will also be achieved, “or close to it,” the rest of the days.

Attendees have the option of purchasing passes for two or more days; or tickets for the day. “We have tried to group the most urban groups and the pop ones, so that, depending on your tastes, you can choose which day you want to come. Although there are many who will be encouraged to share the entire weekend with us.”

The businessman also remembers two notable new features for 2024: “the party will be extended for three days, instead of two, and, for the first time, there will be two large stages.” The first to pass through one of them will be the Barcelona native Bruno de Fabriziis, known artistically as Mama Dousha, who will inaugurate this great musical event, which will also include Ptazeta, Juan Magán and Belén Aguilera.

The final touch will be given by Aitana who, at 24 years old, has accumulated 20 platinum and 13 gold records. A concert that will be translated into sign language so that everyone can enjoy it. And, as Maccarone recalls, the Share Festival Negrita is once again committed to “a sustainable, supportive and inclusive model.”

Among other actions, the necessary number of trees will be planted to offset the carbon emissions produced by the festival. Something that was already done last year, since 3,000 were planted. Tickets will also be donated to disadvantaged groups and other actions can be carried out from the festival app itself.

“It’s not called Share Festival by chance. Share, in English, means to share. And we not only want to share the party, but everything that is at our disposal. “This is an event for everyone.”
