The Supergesto App came out a few days ago, and the first gathering this June revolves around this new platform. Repeating in this talk and accompanying the presenter Fran Pinilla there are the digital missionary Carlos Taracena, the young woman from Hakuna Rocío Campos and the priest from Getafe Julián Lozano.
“Reviewing the application I have already seen several things that I liked,” said Taracena while browsing the app. In that same sense, Pinilla believes that having a platform like this is a good thing, because “It’s like having everything collected in one place,” referring to the amount of content that can be found.
Another section caught the attention of priest Julián Lozano: “I have told them that I am from the diocese of Getafe and they have already told me the upcoming events and missionary groups that I can find there”referring to the mission section, in which young people find a way to go from the virtual to the real.
A young woman who has precisely experienced this change is Ro Campos, a talk show host who repeats in Supergesto, and who told what her first mission experience was like: “I received a message to go to Malawi, I read it and I was certain that it was for me.” “The fire cannot not burn – continues Ro Campos – my heart is ‘on fire’, and the thirst that I have is actually the same as everyone else,” said the young woman from Hakuna, who encourages all young people to continue this missionary vocation, why not, through this new Supergesto project.
Supergesto, a commitment to young people
Supergesto is the new 100% virtual platform for young people of the Pontifical Mission Societies. It is heir to the traditional missionary magazine of the same name, which stopped printing. Every fifteen days, Supergesto publishes a gathering for young people, in which a group of Catholic influencers and young people who have had missionary experience discuss current mission issues. These gatherings are moderated by Fran Pinilla, priest of the diocese of Bilbao. Many other contents are added to these biweekly gatherings, such as missionary podcasts, training articles and cultural recommendations.
