The deputy delegate of the Government in Zamora, Ángel Blanco, has confirmed the death of the 3-year-old minor, involved in a traffic accident with her family, on June 5, on the A-6, near Villalobos. Ángel Blanco has indicated that the little girl has not been able to recover from her injuries and, finally, she died at the University Clinical Hospital of León at 1:30 p.m. yesterday.
Blanco has been very affected by the news and has stated that “all the deaths are terrible, but for a three-year-old girl, who has her whole life ahead of her, we are shocked.” The subdelegate of the Government in Zamora also wanted to send his condolences to the little girl’s family and friends.
It should be remembered that in this accident, the vehicle flipped several times, leaving its occupants, two girls aged 3 and 6, and two adults, a woman and a 37-year-old man, trapped inside.
The Zamora Civil Traffic Guard, the Benavente Firefighters and Health Emergencies went to the scene, sending a mobile ICU, two basic life support ambulances, a medical team from Villalpando and a medical helicopter.
The deceased girl was rushed to León by medical helicopter, as was her father, who was transferred to the Mobile ICU. Meanwhile, her sister and her mother were transferred by basic life support ambulance to the Benavente Regional Hospital.
