Jorge Andrés Carrascal’s goal against the United States in the friendly this Saturday, June 8, prior to the Copa América 2024, is the 18th goal by a Bolivarian soccer player in the Colombian Senior National Team. “The Prince” thus achieved his second score with the tricolor jacket, both in friendlies, scoring Colombia’s fourth in the 5-1 win against the United States, in Maryland.
Carrascal stole the ball in a United States exit, put the ball in the middle for Juan Fernando Quintero, who returned attention to the Cartagena native. “The prince” defined from the left crossed the post of that hand of the American goalkeeper, who stayed halfway in the exit to bail out, making it 4-1 momentarily.

Wilmer Cabrera is the third Bolivarian with the most goals in the National Team. He played 27 games and scored three goals: one in a friendly against Uruguay in a friendly in 1995, another in the 1997 Copa América against Costa Rica, and one more against Venezuela, in 1997, in the 1998 France qualifier.
“Carrascrack” has already scored two goals in 12 games with the tricolor shirt. “The Prince” has played 7 friendlies and 5 in the Qualifiers, scoring a goal against South Korea, in a friendly that ended 2-2 on Asian territory in 2023, and the fourth in the win against the United States prior to the Copa América. Jorge also has two assists in his history with La Tricolor.
The late Edson Becerra scored a goal in a friendly game against Liberia in 2001. Becerra was champion of the 2001 Copa América with the Colombian National Team, and played in the 2003 Confederations Cup in France. Wilmar Barrios, with a superb mid-range goal against Mexico, in a friendly played in the United States in September 2022.
