This Sunday morning, Tigers has confirmed to Veljko Paunović as his new coach, after the departure of Robert Dante Siboldi. As RECORD announced, Paunovićof Serbian nationality, will join the feline team from today, meeting with the team in Riviera Maya to continue preparing for the next tournament.
During his time at the helm of Chivas, he managed to take the team to the final of the Liga MX in Clausura 2023, a tournament in which they were defeated by his now new team, Tigres. This experience has left a significant mark on the Serbian coach, who will now seek to lead the Monterrey team to a final, where he will try to remove the thorn of being champion.
As of today, Paunović has joined the squad in Riviera Maya, where he is working in the team’s preseason. Prior to his announcement, Tigres was working with Oscar Tojo, only the physical part, now with Pauno, the team will focus on the tactical , where they will seek to soak up their style of play as quickly as possible.
The new coach of the royals will not be alone in this mission. Paunović will be supported by a coaching staff made up of three renowned assistants: Nuno Miguel Gomes Bentes, Claudio David Arseno Pessuto, and Quinton Fortune. These collaborators bring vast international experience, having worked in Spain, England, the United States and Mexico, which promises to further enrich the Tigres sports project.
