The Ministry of Public Education (SEP) finally made official calendar for him School Year 2024 – 2025 for the basic level, that is, preschool, primary and secondary, and in which all the bridges that the students of these levels will have from August.
The document was published in the Official Gazette of the Federation (DOF) in its morning edition, and it highlights that it is a 190-day school year, with at least seven suspensions of teaching duties.
This school calendar will be valid for 32 entities in the country. It contemplates that the school year will begin on Monday, August 26, 2024 and will end on Wednesday, July 16, 2025.
The school calendar also includes eight ordinary sessions of the School Technical Council and three days dedicated to recording grades.
The days of class suspension are:
- 16 of September
- November 18th
- February 3rd
- March 17
- May 1
- May 5th
- 15 th of May
In the case of the Vacation periods, the school calendar indicates that in winter it will be from December 19, 2024 to January 8, 2025; In the case of Holy Week, they will be from April 14 to 25.
About the period of pre-registration to preschool, first grade of primary school and first grade of secondary school, the dates range from February 4 to 7, and from February 10 to 14, 2025.
The calendar for the Normal Educationthat is, the training of Basic Education teachers, contemplates 195 days, also with seven days of suspension of teaching work and two periods of Teacher Planning and Habilitation, prior to the start of the School Cycle.
The first holiday period begins on December 19, 2024 and ends on January 3, 2025; while the second period begins on April 14 and ends on Friday, the 25th of the same month.
For this case the End of courses It is scheduled for July 16, 2025, so the exam period will be on the 17th, 18th, 21st, 22nd and 23rd of that same month.
The Ministry of Public Education reported that entities that require it can request an adjustment to the calendar; however, it specified that this requires that the adjustment contemplate 190 mandatory class days for basic education.
