The pilot died after crashing into a refrigerator

This Sunday, motorsports experienced a tragic day in the town of Esperanza, Santa Fe. It happened during the final of the fourth date of the category The Trunks of the TC 2000 that took place on the Los Toboganes property when the car Lisandro Boxler He lost control and crashed into a wall, killing the pilot.

The final was held around 3:50 p.m. Everything was triggered after an apparent collision in a curve when -apparently- one of the cars touched the Ford Escort of the 37-year-old driver, a native of the town of San Jerónimo.

Boxler lost control of the vehicle, crossed the Olympic fence that delimited the circuit and headed straight for a large wall that was part of what was once a refrigerator, impacting at high speed.

According to the Santa Fe media, the ambulance arrived quickly with the medical service, but Boxler lost his life when he was being taken to the hospital. The race was suspended immediately after the fatal accident.

The news came from Santa Fe and was then replicated throughout the world of motorsports, filling social networks with messages.

“Goodbye, Lisandro,” the Los Troncos Category posted on its Facebook page. “In this difficult moment, we join in the pain of his family and friends, extending our most sincere condolences,” the statement says.

“Today, those of us who make up the Los Troncos family are in mourning, a friend, a colleague, is gone. Those of us who put on a helmet, adjust our seat belts, are exposed and we know it. Only we are responsible for our lives and that depends on lifting or continue accelerating… sometimes it goes well, today unfortunately for Gabriel’s family it went wrong. My condolences to the family RIP,” added Daniel Muratore, one of the drivers in the category.

However, beyond the condolences, some users of the social network also asked questions and questioned the safety of the races.

“I was looking at the accident in Esperanza. I ask: who supervises the category? The racetrack does not look in good condition. There is a lack of security. Above all having a building so close to the circuit and no wall with tires against the fence. And car safety? It seems to me that beyond the lack on the circuit it also gives the feeling that the car does not have the necessary security,” reflected Noelio Alejandro Ferrero, also on Facebook.
