The festivities of Barrio San Antonio, in Muriedas (Camargo) begin this Thursday until Sunday the 16th on the CEIP Pedro Velarde track, which will host the eighth edition of the San Antonio Rock Festival, with groups such as Los Deltonos, The Covertizo, A Duras Penas , Insurgents and Roommates.
Today, Saint Anthony’s Day, the events will begin at 6:00 p.m. with the mass sung by the Ronda Valle de Camargo Choir and the presentation of the ‘San Antonio 2024’ award, which will be followed, starting at 7:30 p.m., by the grand sardinada, and the performance of Duende del Sur.
For its part, the second day will continue with the distribution of sausages with wine and the San Antonio Rock Festival, which will begin at 8:00 p.m.
Saturday concentrates the bulk of activities. From 12:00 p.m. the planned recreational and gastronomic proposals will take place, with traditional music parades, performances by the Carmen Bagpipe Band and the Great San Antonio Lunch, in which portions of beans with chorizo and blood sausage will be sold and prizes will be raffled. .
Starting at 4:00 p.m., the day will continue with the children’s party, with workshops and games organized by the Arzolla Youth and Cultural Association to, at 6:30 p.m., attend the circus and magic show by Nando Caneca, to which The distribution of hot dogs, bingo and performances by Versión Pop, MecagüenTó (tribute to Extremoduro) and a party with DJ Nacho Barquín will continue.
Finally, on Sunday the festivities will begin at 12:00 p.m. with a dance exhibition by the Muriedas Senior Citizens’ Classroom Association, after which Jaya Folk will perform. At noon, portions of fried eggs with jijas and potatoes will be distributed and the San Antonio 2024 Basket will be raffled off, as well as a 50″ Smart TV.
