a unique meeting with young talents at Universidad Siglo 21

Universidad Siglo 21 in alliance with Buenas Noches Producciones presents a new edition of OPEN DAY, a day focused on promoting emerging talents.

Córdoba is one of the favorite places for the DJ and producer Hernán Cattáneo, a reference in progressive house at a national and international level. The dates in Forja are already a classic that generates expectations among his followers. From 2022, the weekend begins with the OPEN DAY at Universidad Siglo 21.

Organized by Buenas Noches Producciones, this year’s edition focused on promoting emerging talents from the local electronic scene. The day included a talk with Eial Moldavsky, a production clinic with Jamie Stevens and the presentation of the BNP Awards, a proposal that seeks to recognize and promote the innovative and entrepreneurial spirit.

For this award, participants presented musical, artistic and branding proposals for the Cattáneo shows in Forja through a hackathon. The winning projects were selected by Cattáneo together with the BNP team and prominent Siglo 21 teachers to be presented during the Hernán Cattáneo Weekend.

“We have all been helped at some point, we all had a guide that helped us cement our path. That is why emerging talents need visibility. With so many DJs, producers and professionals, the best ones need someone to mark them out among so many others. Giving visibility and pushing their path is as important as it was for us when we received that impulse,” said Hernán Cattáneo.

Comprehensive training of the new generations

The creative works of the students in the hackathon highlight the importance of innovation and entrepreneurship as tools to face the challenges of the future. In that sense, Universidad Siglo 21 puts these tools at the center of the scene through initiatives such as OPEN DAY, aligned with the Positive Education model that seeks the comprehensive development of its students.

This educational model encourages the creation of an ecosystem to promote the comprehensive development of people, both individually and collectively. Thus, educational spaces and experiences allow not only the development of academic skills, but also human ones.

Carlos Ramonda, Dean of Applied Sciences at Universidad Siglo 21, maintained that “Welcoming Hernán Cattáneo back into our house of higher education is a great source of pride. This experience is unique for our students and for all emerging talents, offering them a space where they can express their creativity and learn from a great reference in the electronic music scene such as Hernán. In addition, this initiative reinforces the comprehensive development of our academic community, providing tools and opportunities that prepare them to face the challenges of the future.”

Thus, the OPEN DAY at Universidad Siglo 21 marks the beginning of an unmissable weekend that continues with two consecutive nights of Hernán Cattáneo in Córdoba: an event that fuses the best of electronic music with an immersive and innovative staging.
