Accident on the Mérida peripheral; car ends in a ravine

A Honda car ended up in the space it dividedand two bridges on the Mérida peripheralafter having been hit by another vehicle when both were traveling on the aforementioned road.

The accident occurred shortly before noon at kilometer 6 of the ring road at the height of the Dzununcán colony. At the scene it was found that the vehicles involved, a Honda City and an MG car belonging to the state government, were circulating along the inner body of the ring road.

Shortly before climbing the bridge known as “86”the MG hit the City from behind, causing the driver to lose control of the steering wheel and the vehicle, as a result, leaving the road into the dividing space where it hit two trees.

The accident left no people injured, but it was necessary to mobilize emergency vehicles to the scene. The drivers of both vehicles called the respective insurance companies and through them were able to reach an agreement to pay damages.

The police became aware and momentarily closed the bridge so that a private tow truck could carry out maneuvers to remove the car from the ravine.- Gabriel Chan Uicab
