In a meeting with leaders of the PRD and the New Left current, he said that the defeat of the June 2nd that left the party without registration was due to various factors such as “the optical illusion of the crowded public squares, of the street, of public conversation, of the “pink tide”, and of some surveys that placed us in technical tie”.
“Certainly, multiple errors in the opposition coalition. There was never a campaign strategy discussed and agreed upon by everyone: with the candidate, the allied parties and the representation of civil society.”

He explained that the “war room” operated without coordination with the party leaders. There were no state coordination to follow up on the campaigns and carry out a single campaign, with the national umbrella of Xochitl Galvez to the head.
He assured that, despite the significant financial resources contributed to the presidential campaign, with some exceptions, the candidates’ propaganda did not incorporate the image of Xóchitl Gálvez, as the official candidate did.
“The design of our presidential candidate’s tours was not decided with the national leadership. Furthermore, it was never clear what Xóchitl’s profile was, what she represented, what she offered, that is, without undermining her capacity and her invaluable and extraordinary efforts as a female candidate.
