Motorcycling: a 9-year-old pilot from Rosario had an accident in Interlagos and is in serious condition
A pilot from Rosario, just 9 years old, Lorenzo Somaschini, fights for his life this Saturday after suffering a serious accident at the Brazilian Interlagos circuit, in a test for the Brazilian Superbike Championship. The child is hospitalized in the intensive care area of the Albert Einstein hospital in San Pablo, according to a statement from the family.
The man from Rosario suffered a fall this Friday during the first free practice of the Junior Cup at the exit of the Pinheirinho curve.
After that accident, the pilot received medical attention immediately at the scene by the medical team and the Autodromo High Complexity ambulance, as reported.
Through an official statement, they denied a version that spoke of his death, and assured: “Lorenzo Somaschini is alive, in intensive care and under the medical and intensive care of specialists”.

In that sense, they commented that “the pilot of 9 years old from Rosario suffered an accident during the first training session for the 4th Round of the Brazilian Superbike Championship that is taking place at the Interlagos Autodrome. “Lolo is in delicate condition at the Albert Einstein Hospital in San Pablo.”
And they added that “Somaschini was subsequently sent to the circuit’s emergency room, where his clinical framework was stabilized. After this procedure Medical extraction from the site was carried out in a High Complexity unit at the Pedreira General Hospital, where he remained. until dawn on Saturday, June 15, and following all medical protocols, a new transfer was made to the Alberto Einstein Emergency Hospital.”
“Awaiting news from specialists about Lolo’s health, family members will announce the current situation as soon as possible. In addition, we appreciate the messages of support and the everyone’s concern for Lorenzo’s condition just as his death is also denied,” they revealed.
