Diplomatic as always, Edgar Vivar declared how happy he feels for Florinda Mezawho this week had the opportunity to be in front of the Pope Franciscothanks to the fact that she was invited to the Comedy Summit, which took place in the Vatican with the presence of comedians from all over the world.

“How good for Florinda, she took Roberto’s book (Gómez Bolaños ‘Chespirito’) to the Pope, I have a good source that his Holiness watched our program (“El Chavo del 8“), because in Argentina it was a boom,” declared Vivar, who along with Florinda Meza was part of the cast of the Chespirito show.

The actor added that right now on television we need more comedy and seeing life with less prejudices, even though today the content has changed so much.

“Before, what was politically incorrect is not now and vice versa, in our program there were words that we never used, not even thinking about it, today you turn on the television and hear words that I do not use in everyday life, that is fashion and a product of the time , but laughter never hurts.

He also saw it as positive that a new cartoon is being made about “El Chavo del 8”, because that shows that it is a still profitable franchise. These statements were made by Edgar Vivar during his time on the red carpet of the play “The price of the fame“, which premiered last night at the Teatro Centenario Coyoacán.

This work stars Cecilia Galeano and Gabriel Soto, and in it they address, through comedy, the way in which artists must face the consequences of being public figures and having fame, from the loss of privacy to the trial of the people, who sometimes forget that they are just human beings.

“I think that as public figures we are all exposed to paying prices, some more expensive, others less expensive, but there is always a sacrifice to pay,” Gabriel said.

Gabriel Soto, who also walked on the carpet prior to the performance, explained that since it is a topic so close to him, every time the play runs he can create catharsis by venting what he has gone through as an artist and therefore heal what he has experienced. It hurt him, through laughter and making fun of himself.

The actor also took time to talk about the photographs that came to light a week ago, where he is with his ex-wife Geraldine Bazán and his daughters Elissa and Alexa Miranda, at the latter’s first communion.

“These are moments that are experienced only once in the lives of our daughters, we have always preached by that example, that we are going to do everything in our power for their well-being, and it was the first communion so how can we not enjoy it” .

Gabriel commented that he is trying to enjoy his daughters as much as he can, because they are growing very quickly and he realized this when he saw that his eldest daughter, Elissa, attended the ceremony accompanied by her boyfriend; That’s why he has tried to have a good relationship with Geraldin.

“The respect, the maturity, the affection that there will always be, we will always be together, be a team and work for the well-being of two human beings that depend on us,” explained Soto, who also assured that he has the support of his current partner, actress Irina Baeva.

The one who walked proudly down this catwalk was the actor Julio Camejosince she was hand in hand with her daughter Sofía and shared that the little girl is about to enter the Televisa Artistic Education Center (CEA), since the girl wants to follow in her footsteps.

Journalist Gustavo Adolfo Infantewho was also present at the event, clarified why Alfredo Adame was detained for six hours, due to the lawsuit that he has against him and that prevents him from referring to him in any situation.

“It’s the beginning because of Adame’s snout, I didn’t say it or put it up, a control judge decided it because the guy kept talking about me and my mother; it’s okay for him to refer to me, I’m already quite seasoned and big , because the one who is taken will put up with it, but he messed with my mother,” said the journalist.

Francisco Gatorno, Matilde Obregón, José Ángel Bichir, Rosa Gloria Chagoyan, Tania Vázquez, Yuliana Peniche, Roberto Tello, to mention a few, were also present on the carpet and at the performance, where Gabriel and Cecilia, despite the small setbacks they had on stage , made the audience laugh with their performance for two hours.
