The renowned British chef, Gordon Ramsay, said on his social networks that this weekend he suffered a serious bicycle accident that almost cost him his life.
“They know how much I love cycling, triathlons, Ironman races. This week, unfortunately, I had a very serious accident that really shook me up and, honestly, I’m lucky to be here,” Ramsay explained.
The chef, who thanked the medical staff who treated him, recalled the importance of wearing the helmet.
“I have a very important message for all parents. Wear the helmet. This week I was in an accident while biking in Connecticut. “I’m fine, I haven’t broken any bones or suffered any major injuries, but I look like a purple potato.” Ramsay shows a gigantic bruise that covers the entire left side of his torso.
“I don’t care about the journey and whether it costs money. Even children, on a short trip, should wear it. “It has been a hard week, but I cannot stop repeating the importance of wearing the helmet,” added the 57-year-old chef and one of the figures of “Kitchen Nightmare.”
