The Municipality destroyed 60 free escapes and already seized nearly 100 motorcycles

Jesus Maria. The Municipal Urban Guard (GUM) announced the results of the controls implemented during the first five months of 2024.

Since his inauguration, Mayor Federico Zárate proposed a new control scheme, in order to generate a more orderly city. The result is overwhelming: municipal agents filed more than 2,000 reports and seized nearly a hundred motorcycles.

Among the main contraventions detected, poor parking of vehicles and driving the wrong way top the list.

The ranking of the main violations is as follows:

– Parking in a prohibited area 524 violations

– Driving or parking the wrong way 388 violations

– Lack of driver’s license 299 violations

– Expired driver’s license 149 violations

– Positive alcohol level 60 violations

– Noisy or adulterated exhaust 60 violations

The control operations were carried out at strategic points, with greater traffic flow, both in the central area and in the city’s neighborhoods.

Less annoying noises.

Among the main order actions carried out by the Municipal Urban Guard is the control of motorcycles. In this context, since January, the Municipal Urban Guard seized 60 exhaust pipes for causing disruption of urban order through annoying noises and violation of the traffic code.

Last Friday, in a special operation carried out on Juan XXIII Street, it was destroyed and subsequently disposed of.

Fundamentally, the Municipality seeks to implement order and control measures to guarantee residents greater security and better coexistence.
