19 entrepreneurship projects, related to the water care, presented their progress in the Demo Day, organized by HEINEKEN Green Challenge and incMTYthe entrepreneurship festival of Tec de Monterrey.
These projects showed their evolution in the facilities of HEINEKEN, in the city of Monterey, after going through a acceleration program.
The startups They arrived from Jalisco, Querétaro, Nuevo León, Tlaxcala, Sinaloa, Veracruz, State of Mexico, Yucatán, Puebla, Mexico City and Hidalgo.

Meet the startups

1. Aqua et terra: reduce consumption in agriculture
Company dedicated to perfecting and developing technologies focused on combat the water crisis and food in Mexico.
Its technology allows reduce water use in agriculture from 3 to 1 liter. They pointed out that they have 3 patents and in Aguascalientes they have helped increase irrigation efficiency by 30 percent.
2. Aquabotics: analysis of waste in water

6. Rain Stone: underground irrigation system

Their entrepreneurs pointed out that they have dedicated more than 20 years of research to develop a underground irrigation system using gravitywhich does not use electricity or pumps, and has a longer useful life than other irrigation systems.
7. ICLO: low-cost chlorinator

17. Industrial water: wastewater reuse

HEINEKEN Green Challenge
This is a unique initiative driven by HEINEKEN Mexico and incMTY which seeks to bring together Mexican entrepreneurs with innovative projects that identify opportunities and solve socio-environmental problems in Mexico.
In its 2023 edition, it focused on the care, preservation and access to water in communities, and the winning startup was the company Aqua et Terra, which increases water productivity using plot hydrants and high-precision irrigation strategies.
In the 6 years of the HEINEKEN Green Challenge, more than 4 have participated thousand projects with approximately 12 thousand 200 entrepreneursand have accelerated more than 100 projectsof which 19 were presented in this Demo Day.
