A former councilor from Valle Fértil who had been in a serious accident in 2019 that had left him bedridden died this Thursday, sources from that department confirmed.
This is Rodolfo Gil, who had health complications since May 1, 2019 in which he was involved in an impressive accident around noon when he crashed head-on in a race car against another motorist, near Usno.
The terrible impact was between a Renault Megane and the Fiat 128 prepared for competition that Gil was driving. It occurred at noon in the Usno area, Valle Fértil. That time, witnesses to the incident stated that both vehicles were traveling at high speed on Ortiz and Rogelio Burgoa streets at the time of impact.
The injured were taken to Rawson Hospital. Gil survived but was left bedridden with several health complications. This Thursday he died.
The former councilor with his mandate completed at the end of 2023, in the month of the accident, underwent at least three surgeries: two for the spine and one for the hip.
