The morning of this Friday, June 21, the president of Mexico, Andrés Manuel López Obrador (AMLO), made reference to the accident suffered by the governor of Baja California Sur, Victor Manuel Castro who is known, had injuries while flying aboard his small plane. According to what was stated by the founder of the National Regeneration Movement (Brunette), the January accident in which the state president was involved occurred in Peace; However, thanks to the skill of the pilot, both were unharmed, although he described the events as something spectacular.
“Yes, it was spectacular and he freed her, a master hug, it gives us great pleasure. He is very brave but in any case he is strong, there are risks, the scare is over,” he concluded.
Through the state government’s social networks, it was reported that President Víctor Manuel Castro was in good health after having suffered an accident aboard the aircraft that was transporting him, this past Wednesday, June 19. It should be noted that in addition to him, the unit traveled with head of the executive office who, like the pilot, was unharmed.
“Immediately after the accident, the governor was taken to his home, after confirming that his health was stable and that he did not present any complications.”

Regarding the incident, national media highlighted that Castro and his office chief were traveling aboard a Cessna-type light aircraft around 9:00 p.m. on the aforementioned day; However, an accident was reported when the aircraft was at the La Paz International Airport, specifically, it was a fails when unit was on landing gear just as he was descending from the runway.
Due to this event, the emergency forces were deployed in order to support those affected, including paramedics who confirmed that the state president was in good condition and it was not necessary to transfer him to a hospital, so the politician’s activities were not were affected.
The reason why the president of Mexico addressed the issue until this Friday, June 21, was because he was questioned about his upcoming tours alongside the president-elect, Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo, who could even be in Baja California and Baja California Sur; However, there is still no exact date for its completion since this weekend, both Morena militants will tour the Isthmus in order to evaluate public works.
Víctor Manuel Castro Cosío, current governor of Baja California Sur, was born on June 14, 1955 in La Paz, Baja California Sur. He has a degree in Education from the Escuela Normal Urbana of La Paz and has worked as a teacher and director in various educational institutions in the entity.
Castro began his political career in the Party of the Democratic Revolution (PRD) and later joined Morena. He has held various positions, including local representative and senator. In the 2021 elections, he was elected governor of Baja California Sur under the Morena flag.
