Last Tuesday, June 18, Pedro García Aguado was crowned the brand new winner of ‘Survivientes 2024’. In a very tight face to face with Rubén Torres, the coach managed to conquer the audience and took home the coveted check for 200,000 euros.
However, his journey to victory was not a bed of roses. Week after week, Pedro showed a tireless fight not to give up, facing multiple obstacles and extreme conditions that the adventure had in store for him. One of his worst moments was when he was on the verge of quitting.
“He told me you are being you, you have to continue being you.”
After several months away from home, Pedro attended the set of ‘Fiesta’ to share his experience with Emma García. The presenter wanted to investigate the critical moments in which Pedro thought about leaving the competition.
“I didn’t have the strength,” García Aguado confessed sincerely. Hunger, fatigue and emotional exhaustion almost led him to make the decision to leave Survivors.

Despite the constant support of his teammates, Pedro’s determination wavered on several occasions. However, he decided to stay in the competition thanks to some very meaningful words from his sister during a visit to Honduras.
“My sister, when I wanted to leave, told me about my mother and everything I had overcome,” Pedro recalled. “She told me you are being you, you have to continue being you.” Those words resonated deeply with him, giving him the strength and encouragement necessary to not give up in the most difficult moments of the contest.
