The Judgment Day’s Finn Bálor and JD McDonagh defeated Awesome Truth to win the titles.
During Monday Night RAW, Liv Morgan showed kindness towards the members of The Judgment Day. She offered them food, a space to play video games, and she texted a photo to Dominik Mysterio. Taking advantage of the fact that R-Truth confused her with Carmella, she got an opportunity for the faction for the World Couples Championships. This match took place in the main event of the show, where Finn Bálor and JD McDonagh were crowned new champions.
The match was dominated for the most part by The Miz over JD McDonagh, until Dominik Mysterio and Carlito had to intervene. However, Braun Strowman, who had previously been attacked by the faction on the show, appeared to scare them away. This allowed R-Truth to make a comeback for his team, but he was stopped by a hug followed by a surprise attack from Liv Morgan, making it easy for Finn Bálor to secure the victory with a Coupe de Grace.
With this victory, The Judgment Day wins the World Tag Team Championships for the third time as a faction. It is the third time that Finn Bálor has won this title, while JD McDonagh achieves his first championship on the WWE main roster. On the other hand, Awesome Truth’s reign ended after 79 days and four successful defenses.
