The former president of the United States and Republican candidate, donald trumpchallenged the current president of the country, the Democrat Joe Bidento undergo a drug test before next Thursday’s election debate.

“A drug test for corrupt Joe Biden??? I would also accept one immediately!!!”, wrote the New York tycoon, 78, on his Truth social network.

It is not the first time that Trump has suggested that Biden, 81, will go to the face-to-face doped, since at a rally on Saturday in Philadelphia he assured that the president will participate in the debate after receiving “an injection in the butt.”

The Republican usually satirizes Biden for his age and his mistakes, although Trump himself also makes mistakes and has contradictions in his speeches. In an interview he said that Biden should not be “underestimated” in the debate.

Preparation before the debate

Biden has been meeting with his team for several days at the Camp David presidential retreat, outside Washington, to prepare for the appointment. Trump has alternated some rallies with meetings at his Mar-a-Lago mansion in Florida with advisors.

The Republican is expected to use immigration as a weapon against Biden and to engage in personal attacks on the president.

The Democrat plans to portray Trump as a convicted felon, due to his conviction in a New York court for falsifying business documents, and as a danger to democracy due to the 2021 assault on the Capitol.

The debate will be held unusually early, given that the campaigns have not yet formally started, and during the face-to-face session only the microphone of the candidate who has the turn to speak will be on to avoid interruptions.
