A large fire devours the Cerro del Viso in Alcalá de Henares

Very complicated afternoon for the Firefighters of the Community of Madrid, who are fighting a large fire that is burning the Cerro del Viso in Alcalá de Henares.

This is a fire in pastures and pine forests, which started around 3:00 p.m. this Wednesday, and which would have spread very quickly due to the dryness of the vegetation.

13 Firefighter crews, six helicopters (firefighting bombers and a coordinating helicopter), three Civil Protection crews, two of them ambulances and at least seven Local Police crews and several Civil Guard crews have traveled to the site.

In fact, the security and emergency services have confirmed to the Dream Alcalá editor who was displaced to the area, that they were going to set up the outpost in Cerro del Viso to coordinate the work against a fire that, although it was controlled, was not It was easy to extinguish.

Update: At 6:28 p.m., 112 of the Community of Madrid confirmed that the fire had gone into the control phase. “It is no longer progressing.” In total, it has affected about 113 hectares of grass and scrub.
