Serious accident leaves two dead on Rodovia dos Bandeirantes

This Wednesday morning (26), an accident on Rodovia dos Bandeirantes, in São Paulo, left two dead and two people in serious condition. According to SBT News, the collision involved two trucks and a car at kilometer 14 of the highway.

The person in serious condition was stabilized, intubated in an ambulance and then transferred to the Hospital das Clínicas by the Águia helicopter of the Military Police. The other victim suffered a broken leg. The fatalities were identified as the driver of one of the trucks and a woman.

At the time of the accident, four lanes were blocked, causing a congestion of at least four kilometers on the Rodovia dos Bandeirantes. In total, four vehicles from the Fire Department and two from the responsible dealership were dispatched to attend to the incident.

Additionally, a tow truck was called to tow one of the trucks.
