Estéfani Rendón, who was one inside the cabin who fell and was injured by the emergency, spoke with Caracol Radio about the minutes of anguish he experienced this Wednesday morning, while he was heading to work, like every day.

There, he indicated that he was on board the cable car when, from one moment to the next, he began to feel that the cable was swinging quite strongly. “You feel it when it collides with the other cabin and we are the ones who suffer the impact, we are the ones who fell to the ground. “It’s all I remember.”

He explained that the cabin in which he was traveling began to swing so hard that for that reason he collided with the one in front, and then fell to the ground. “Thank God it was at the Popular station, which is a lower part,” she commented.

He also said that he saw the last moments of life of Jhon Jairo, the deceased victim: “It was very shocking to see all those people around me. I saw how the man died, who was the one who received all the impact.”

He noted that the fatal victim was sitting inside the cabin and was the first person to receive medical attention.

I definitely had a fracture in my pelvis, they told me I was going to be in special care, but so far I am stable, now a little calmer.”

The woman also indicated that, at the moment of impact, the first thing she thought was that she was going to lose her life. “Since the impact was so strong, I said: ‘Now, I’m not going to be in this world anymore.’ It was horrible, really.”

“The attention was very fast. At the time I was very scared, I was crying, but the attention was felt immediately, on the part of the Metro and on the part of the paramedic,” she said about the care received after the emergency.

Finally, although he assured that this was the first time something like this happened to him using the Metrocable, for the moment he does not want to use this means of transportation again: “No, not really, with that trauma, the truth is that one would not use it again ”, he commented.
