The world of bodybuilding in Brazil is in mourning, because on June 26 he died. Renowned bodybuilder Cintia Goldani, 36, died due to complications from bacterial pneumonia which, when it worsened, caused pulmonary sepsis.
Goldani, a native of Rio Grande do Sul, was a professional bodybuilder and in recent days was preparing to make her official debut in a competition scheduled for July in Curitiba.
In addition to competing in the Figure category, Goldani also provided advice and coaching on poses to other athletes. She was a fan of the Gremio football club and expressed her passion for bodybuilding through her social networks. In her last Instagram post, dated June 17, she shared a reflection that encapsulates her philosophy of life.: “We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, therefore, is not an act, but a habit.”
The news of his passing was confirmed by Musclecontest International, the event’s organizers, who expressed their deep sorrow and condolences in an official statement.
“It is with great regret and sadness that we inform you of the death of Cintia Goldani due to complications from pneumonia. Cynthia was an angel in human form. God needed reinforcements in heaven. “She will never be forgotten by the MuscleContest family,” they communicated.
According to local media, Goldani collapsed and was quickly taken to a hospital in Rio de Janeiro, but did not survive. For the moment, it is known that her remains will be transferred to Porto Alegre, where she will be laid to rest by her family and closest friends.
Bodybuilder Gustavo César, who had been in a relationship with Goldani since the beginning of the year, remembered her fondly on his social networks, describing her as a person deeply in love with bodybuilding.
“I love you so much and you deserved to receive much more love from me, my love is as true as it is, but things happened in my life before you that made me end up giving myself completely. You taught me to truly love, to love with the soul, you showed me true love and now this feeling in my heart will be infinite. I will always carry you with me as long as this summer lasts in this world and soon we will meet in eternity,” she wrote.
