As every year, the itinerary marks the route through the main avenues of the capital, where several celebrities, floats and the different contingents usually participate. The colorful march will parade through Reforma Avenue until you reach the Capital Zocalo.

As is tradition, there will be a great event in the Plaza de la Constitución to celebrate the years of struggle. Artists such as Lucía Méndez, Mariana Seoane, Bellakath and Kimberly La Más Preciosa will be in charge of entertaining the show.

The stage that will receive artists and personalities is already set up. Some confusion and rumors arose on social networks regarding an alleged cancellation of the event after a statement from one of the convening committees; However, it is important to know that this is fake.

Cristian Galarzacoordinator of Social Communication of the Gay Pride Committee, clarified for Infobae Mexico that although they recognize and respect the committee that uploaded the statement, the show in the Zócalo will not be canceled Nor has it been considered that this is the case, and it remains in place thanks to the collaboration of several organizations, such as the same one Gay PRIDE, besides of Diverse Citizen, Pride and Dignity and more.

During the evening of Thursday, June 27, the statement that spoke of a “cancellation” began to circulate on social media, expressing the decision to cancel the celebration that would take place once the contingents arrived at the Zócalo, generating confusion.

“Due to unforeseen circumstances, we have decided not to offer an artistic event at the end of the march as we have done in previous years. We know that art has been a fundamental element of our struggle, a space for expression, visibility and celebration of our diversity. Therefore, this decision has not been easy and we deeply regret it.”

The event in the Zócalo will take place As planned, and as every year, the presence of thousands of people is expected.
