After much anticipation and the expectation generated by Tom Welling’s visit as a guest of Comic Con Colombia 2024, The event organizers announced in the last few hours that the actor will not be able to attend.

According to the criteria of

Famous for his portrayal of Superman (Clark Kent) in the television series Smallville, in which he participated for ten seasons, he would be, along with Elijah Wood – the unforgettable Frodo from The Lord of the Rings – the icing on the cake of this year’s edition of the convention being held at Corferias, this long weekend, until July 1st.

In a statement shared on social media, it was explained that “Welling’s representative announced that the American star had lost his passport, which is the documentation required to enter the country.”

And continues: “The loss of this document prevents the actor from entering Colombia, and therefore from entering Comic Con Colombia as scheduled. At Planet Comics and Corferias we regret this event, which is unrelated to the management we carried out as organizers of the event.”

Welling’s presence was confirmed in mid-March and his announcement was that of the first major guest at Comic Con 2024. The American actor, 46, would be there on Saturday, June 29 and Sunday, June 30, when he was going to share with his fans in a panel on the main stage of the convention, in which he would talk about his experience in the film industry and television. He was also going to have photo opportunity and autograph sessions for his most loyal fans.
