A 61-year-old man from Pozoblanco dies after falling several meters on a road exitCordova
A 61-year-old resident of Pozoblanco died this Friday after suffering a accident in the vehicle in which he was travelling. The accident took place at around 8:30 p.m. on the N-502 road, which connects The Pedroches with Córdoba connecting with the N-432, in the municipality of Villanueva del Duque, although several kilometres from this town.
The driver was trapped inside his vehicle after leaving the road and falling down a slope of several meters, while traveling towards Alcaracejos.
Firefighters from Pozoblanco were dispatched to the scene to rescue the victim, as well as medical personnel and Civil Guard agents.
Medical personnel treated the driver of the only vehicle involved in the accident, but nothing could be done to save his life.
The vehicle fell several meters after leaving the road and the injuries sustained caused the death of the driver. The Civil Guard agents were controlling traffic in the area while the assistance of health workers and other professionals lasted.
