The premiere date of the new season of the iconic production ‘Ugly Betty’ is announced, which this time will arrive on the Prime Video streaming platform. This dramatic comedy is based on the original production that was broadcast on the RCN Channel and starred Ana María Orozco and Jorge Enrique Abello, who will also star on this occasion as its main characters.

‘Ugly Betty, the Story Continues’ is the new RCN Studios production for Prime Video and tells the story of Beatriz Pinzón Solano, Ugly Betty, 20 years after the original program ended. “While an empowered Betty works hard to rebuild her bond with her teenage daughter, her relationship with Armando is rapidly deteriorating, making her question whether she made the right decision 20 years ago,” notes the series announcement.
It is worth mentioning that its original cast made up of Julián Arango, Natalia Ramírez, Lorna Cepeda, Luces Velásquez, Marcela Posa, Mario Duarte, Julio César Herrera, Ricardo Vélez, Alberto León Jaramillo and Estefanía Gómez is also back. It will also have the incorporation of Rodrigo Candamil, Juanita Molina, Zharick León and Sebastián Osorio.
The 335 episodes of the original series ‘Yo soy Betty, la fea’ are available on Prime Video, in Latin America. This is considered by the Guinness Book of Records as the most successful soap opera in history, broadcast in some 180 countries, dubbed into 15 languages and adapted in 28 territories, including India, South Africa and the United States, and remains in our top 10 of the most viewed content in Mexico, Argentina, Chile and Colombia.

The production will premiere on July 19 and will be available on Prime Video in more than 240 countries and territories around the world.
