The television and film industry is constantly announcing new video game titles that will arrive in the coming years through new formats. Adaptations stand out such as the future version of tomb Raider by the hand of Phoebe Waller-Bridge (Fleabag) or the next arrival at the cinema of Poppy Playtime under the production of Legendary (Godzilla Vs. kong). However, in 2023, the series of HBO, The Last Of Usmarked a milestone by attracting the attention of large companies to the narratives of the gaming world.
After the success of the first delivery, MAX presented the first official images of the second season during an event Warner Bros. Discovery which addressed the company’s upcoming projects. Although this new season will adapt the second part of the video game developed by Naughty Dog, there are still many details to know about how they will be transferred to the television format, given that filming began in the month of February. With the recent revelation of the photographs, it is confirmed that the season will hit the screens of HBO in 2025.
In the first image, we see Peter Pascal (game of Thrones, The Fantastic Four and Narcos) Interpreting joel, talking with another character with his back to the camera. Also shown is the first look at ellieembodied by Bella Ramsey (Chicks on the run: the origin of nuggets and the worst witch), ready for action with her weapon ready.
As for the cast, it has been announced that Kaitlyn Dever (known for her work in The night of the nerds and no one can save you) will join Pascal and Ramsey Interpreting Abby Anderson, considered by several sources as one of the most important characters in the second installment of the game. On the other hand, Young Mazino (Row) will give life to the empathetic and charismatic friend of elliecalled Jesse. Completing the cast, we find Isabella Merced (Madame Web) as Dyne, Ariela Barer (How to Blow Up a Pipeline) as Mel, Tati Gabrielle (uncharted) as Nora, Spencer Lord (A Honeymoon to Remember) as Owenand Catherine O’Hara (Beetlejuice) in an as yet undisclosed role.
