When the best Netflix series have a beginning and an end. 4 amazing series to watch without fear of being canceled and left halfway

Netflix cancels too many series, but there are some very good ones that were able to close the story they told

The recent premiere on Netflix of season 4 of ‘Sweet Tooth: The Deer Boy’ has served to remind us that not all series on the platform are canceled ahead of time – it hurts even more when you first renew them and then change your mind. It is not as common as we would like, but, obviously, there are a few and some are really good, so today I propose a selection of 4 amazing Netflix series with a beginning and an end to watch without fear of staying halfway.

I would like to highlight that I have chosen to leave out any Netflix miniseriesWell, it is true that there are several very good ones, but they are titles that from their very conception were known to have a closure. I have not included ‘Sweet Tooth’ either and I have preferred to look back a little, also leaving out some of the most famous series on the platform because I think they are already well-known enough – although I couldn’t resist one that also had a success quite remarkable. Without further ado, let’s go with them:

‘BoJack Horseman’ (2014-2020)

In my opinion, the best Netflix original series so far and it will be very difficult for anyone to surpass it. At first glance it might seem like an adult comedy about show business, but this animated fiction created by Raphael Bob-Waksberg soon finds its focus, in which there is room for laughter, but also for dealing with very screwed up topics in a masterful way. And it has an extraordinary ending.

‘Ozark’ (2017-2022)

A series that was born a little in the wake of the success of the undeniably superior ‘Breaking Bad’, but that always displayed enviable solidity, especially in the acting section, where it served to discover Julia Garner. A remarkable thriller that in my opinion peaked between the excellent final stretch of its season 3 and the beginning of its final batch of episodes. By the way, if you have doubts about how the story continues after its end, the showrunner clarified it at the time.

‘Sex Education’ (2019-2023)

One of the most refreshing series on Netflix that also had an impeccable cast that mixed well-known faces – it is always a pleasure to see Gillian Anderson in whatever he does – with a multitude of discoveries, such as that of Ncuti Gatwa, the new protagonist of ‘Doctor Who’. At first he hooks her because of his daring, something he never loses, but in the end it is his protagonists and the dynamic between them that make her one of the essentials on the platform.

‘Never Have I Ever’, 2020-2023

A brilliant teenage comedy with a charismatic protagonist and a wonderful gallery of secondary characters that is seen with the same ease as a glass of cold water in the middle of a summer heat wave. Of the four that I have chosen today, I am also very clear that it is the one that most lends itself to a review so that I can have a great time with it again, since it is a series with a special spark.
