The first season of “The Voice Chile” surprised by having among its participants the outstanding national performer, who resigned from space in full competition, supposedly, due to health problems. Two years after what happened, Jorge Caraccioli decided to reveal the true reasons for his departure.

“My participation in ‘The Voice Chile’ was an impulse and, in some way, trying to represent Chilean singers who do not have a platform in the media (…) I’m going to sing and show what I’m capable of as an interpreter,” said Jorge Caraccioli.
“Unfortunately I found myself with a level much lower than what I thought, based on the jury. Although it is true that all of them are extremely successful, for a program of singers they do not give the width“There was no significant performer there, none of them are great singers,” he continued with his defense.
According to Jorge Caraccioli, “it would have been different to have faced a real jury like Luis Jara, Gloria Simonetti, Montaner or Alejandro Sanz, real singers.” Let us remember that The coaches in that cycle of “The Voice” were Beto Cuevas, Cami, Yuri and Gente de Zonathe latter being the only ones who turned to the singer’s audition.
The disappointment of Jorge Caraccioli
“I know and I do not want to sin with pride that I would have won that program, without discrediting the participants, but the difference was tremendous. I believed at one point that I could demonstrate what I sang, first, thinking that I would sing with a live band (as befits a professional singer) and with a repertoire that I could choose to enhance my performance,” he continued.
