In the RCN Channel formatseveral figures from the country compete in the kitchen to demonstrate their culinary skills with the goal of winning the title of the best famous chef in the country, as well as the millionaire prize of 200 million pesos.
On June 18, the stoves of the most famous kitchen in Colombia were lit, kicking off the ‘MasterChef Celebrity’ competition in its sixth season.
This time, fans of the format were surprised by the names of the 22 participants who, after just one week of launch, already have viewers glued to their screens.
How much do celebrities earn for participating in ‘MasterChef Celebrity’?
Just like in the reality show ‘La Casa de los famosos’, in ‘MasterChef’ theCelebrities also receive a weekly payment for their participation in the format, To do so, they must put aside their other obligations and focus completely on the competition and their grueling hours of recording.
As it became known, the participants have a different salary depending on the agreement reached with the channel. According to information revealed by Vea Magazine, lThose who are “less famous” or who have not been making waves in showbiz for a long time would have a weekly payment that ranges between 8 and 10 million pesos.
The previous list would include Franko Bonilla, Gabriel Murillo, Vicky Berrio, Ricardo Henao, Connie Camelo, Catherine Ibarguen and the most recently eliminated Camilo Sáenz.
There is also another group that would be the more renowned personalities, who would receive payments of between 13, 18 and even 20 million pesos per week.
Among them would be Paola Rey, Víctor Mallarino, María Fernanda Yepes, Juan Pablo Llano, Andrés Toro and the actor Alejandro Estrada.
