According to the Victims Unit, the amount of reparations reached 1.7 billion pesos, that is, more than 445 million dollars at the current exchange rate.

As part of the compensation, ethnic groups were included, such as the Raizal people of the Archipelago, the union movement and the peasant community of Sumapaz.

The report added that entry was achieved into areas that are in the midst of a crisis of massive displacement and confinement, to provide humanitarian care to 516 communities with 48,594 homes, for a value greater than 33,885 million pesos, approximately nine millions of dollars.

For the four-year period 2022-2026, the Unit seeks to compensate 600,000 victims, formulate and advance 642 Comprehensive Collective Reparation Plans, and contribute to overcoming the vulnerability of two million people who suffered abuses due to the armed conflict.

The increase in the budget, from 2.7 trillion (about 710 million dollars) in 2023 to 4.4 trillion (more than one billion dollars) in 2024, supports these commitments and marks a historic point in care for victims of the armed conflict in Colombia, the communication noted.
