After five consecutive days, pro-Palestinian demonstrations continued on Monday at the University of Lausanne, Switzerland.

According to the Palestinian agency Wafa, a group of “students, academics and professors” came together to demonstrate against the genocide perpetrated by Israel against the people of the Gaza Strip.

The protests took place in front of the “Géopolis building” on the campus of the academic center.

Among the protesters’ objectives are a ceasefire in Gaza and the “freedom of Palestine.”

According to a note by Al Majadeen, the protests at the University of Lausanne “follow the example” of the latest demonstrations that occurred in several universities in countries such as the US, Canada, and France.

From different university campuses around the world, educational institutions have demanded the elimination of the budget for Israeli organizations.

These gestures of support occur 213 days after the start of the siege by Israeli forces in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank, which, so far, has claimed the lives of more than 34,680 people, most of them women and children.
