The avatar responds to the name of Victoria Shi and will provide information on consular issues, adds the message, which is accompanied by a video of the new digital spokesperson for Ukrainian diplomacy introducing herself.
“The text you hear is not being read by a real person, but has been generated by artificial intelligence”he says in the video in English.
The character adds that he will provide information about “the work of consuls to protect the rights and interests of Ukrainian citizens abroad”.
The Ukrainian Ministry has published the same video on Facebook and YouTube with Victoria Shi speaking in Ukrainian, which is the language used by the Ministry on these platforms, which are more popular than X in Ukraine.
