This disease weakens the dog’s immune system and can cause fatigue, fever and loss of appetite. On the other hand, acute cholangiohepatitis is an inflammation of the bile and intrahepatic ducts, which are responsible for transporting bile from the liver. This condition is rare in dogs but more common in cats, and can cause liver failure, jaundice, and vomiting.
