The Palestinian representative to the UN stressed that the measure will not bring back the thousands of children murdered by Israel.

The representative of Palestine to the United Nations, Riyad Mansur, celebrated on Friday the inclusion of Israel on the multilateral organization’s list of shame for the violation of children’s rights, due to its crimes in the Palestinian territory.

According to the Palestinian diplomat, with this decision the UN took an unprecedented step and added that Israel has evaded responsibility for its crimes against Palestinian children for decades.

Riyad Mansur highlighted that the lack of sanctions and accountability on the part of Tel Aviv has allowed it to intensify its crimes against the Palestinians in a clear violation of all norms and principles of legality, morality and humanity.

Referring to Israel’s inclusion in the list of violators of children’s rights, Mansur stressed that the measure will not bring back tens of thousands of our children who were murdered by Israel for decades.

Nor will it restore normal life to children who have been permanently disabled by Israel’s military actions.

“But, it is an important step in the right direction to end the double standards and culture of impunity that Israel has enjoyed for too long and that left our children vulnerable to its consequences,” said Palestine’s representative at the UN. .

Mansur confessed that he will continue efforts until justice is achieved, and Israel finally puts an end to its crimes against the Palestinian people.

The ‘blacklist’ is a report published annually by the UN special representative for children and armed conflict and includes countries and entities that harm minors in conflict regions.

The publication of this news has caused great concern among the Israeli authorities because this process is part of the international resolutions against Israel.

Since the beginning of Israel’s bloody attacks on the Gaza Strip, more than 36,700 Palestinians have been killed and more than 83,500 people have been injured, according to the Palestinian Ministry of Health.
