According to data from the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, foreign sales of these items reached 29.2 billion dollars, while imports amounted to 20.92 billion greenbacks, so the surplus was 8.28 billion US currency.

The trade balance was 62.4 percent higher than in the same period in 2023, the ministry said, adding that agricultural exports totaled $15.76 billion, forestry exports $7.95 billion, aquatic products exports $4.36 billion, and livestock exports just $240 million.

The largest surplus balances were achieved by sales of wood and wood products, with 6.16 billion dollars, coffee (3.14 thousand), fruits and vegetables (2.42 thousand), rice (2.31 thousand ) and shrimp (1.43 thousand).

In total, seven products or groups of goods achieved an export value of more than one billion dollars, namely: coffee, rubber, rice, fruits and vegetables, cashew nuts, shrimp and wood products.
