The group that will represent the largest of the Antilles at the inauguration on July 1 also includes the director of Central America and the Caribbean of the Foreign Ministry, Rafael Dausá; and the ambassador in this capital, Víctor Cairo.

Baluja and the delegation also received a greeting from the current Foreign Minister of Panama, Janaina Tewaney, a meeting in which the parties ratified the historical ties that unite both countries.

As part of its first activities, the Caribbean delegation will pay tribute to the National Hero José Martí, with the placement of a wreath at the bust that perpetuates his memory in the emblematic Belisario Porras park, in this capital.

In addition to the protocol events, the visitors will exchange with the staff of the state mission, hold a meeting with authorities from higher education centers, participate in an act of solidarity with Cuba and tour places of economic and social interest on the isthmus, according to the agenda. planned.

Mulino’s investiture will be at noon next Monday at the Atlapa Convention Center, in this capital, after the National Assembly (AN, unicameral parliament) is installed in the Justo Arosemena Palace (headquarters of the Legislature).

The new president is expected to speak at both ceremonies after the presentation of the board of directors of the National Assembly and after the presidential sash, made by the renowned Colombian tailor, Luis Abel Delgado, is placed on him. The organizing committee of the transfer of power indicated that heads of state or government, foreign ministers, ministers, international organizations and other authorities from more than twenty nations have confirmed their attendance at these ceremonies.
