The Román artist Román Lokati continues to accumulate good news and on this occasion, he has learned that a sculpture of his has been selected to participate in the Art Biennale organized by the Tate Modern Museum in London.

The exhibition will take place from August 7 to 30 and will be the third time that this world-renowned museum focuses on Lokati’s art. The author is delighted and refers to this year as one of the most productive that he remembers in his career, since since 2024 was released, projects have been arriving that have kept him, as he himself states, very busy and glad. From the prestigious Christie’s auction house that chose a sculpture by the artist from Rota and which was a complete success, to the acquisition of a series of engravings for the St. Thomas Hospital Foundation or the artist residency at the Art’otel in Battersea in London and now this opportunity at the Tate Modern Biennale, it has been a very productive four months.

Lokati is enjoying the invitation of the luxurious Art’otel hotel, which offers artists a three-month residency period to develop an artistic project in its facilities. He is currently holding several courses for hotel guests and at the end of May he will give another two dedicated to flowers, as it coincides with the Chelsea Flower Show 2024, a flower and garden festival that is organized right in front of the Art’otel; In addition, a watercolors on paper workshop is being prepared for that occasion.

In short, says the artist, a non-stop that he is willing to make the most of.
