On the occasion of International Museum Daywhich will be held next May 18the Royal Academy of Fine Arts of San Fernando presents the work ‘Maelstrom San Fernando‘, by the artist and academic Daniel Canogar. This is one generative work that will be projected on the façade of the building, created from various pieces from its collection.

Transformed by a algorithm, the result is a partial abstraction of the original works, which become a flow of images similar to how information flows on the Internet. The artist’s goal is to convey the change in consuming art, referring to the number of works that are processed and distributed online.

This work is included in the program of activities of the exhibition ‘Goya: the awakening of consciousness‘. In general, the artistic installations of this creator raise reflections on the consequences of the information society and digitalization. You can enjoy the projection from 10:00 p.m..
