We could call it an “impossible exhibition.”. All because in this exhibition we will be able to see works that are scattered around the world gathered together in a single space. It’s the magic of technology: Dali Challenge she is ambitious digitized art exhibition in which the artist’s studio is also reconstructed (among other environments) and you will have a virtual reality experience. It will open its doors in summer and you can now sign up for the waiting list to be the first to get your tickets. (which will go on sale to the general public on May 14 at 12:00 p.m.).
After its world premiere in Madrid and its current stay in Sao Paulo, it will open its doors on June 13 in Barcelona. In this exhibition Dalí will challenge us directly: “You know nothing about me”as he says claim of the sample.
Certainly, the fact that so much is said about Figueres does not mean that we know the depth of each work, the detail of each inspiration. What will we find in Dali Challenge?
This exhibition comes to open our eyes and make us awaken to the knowledge of both his psyche as well as his work. As? Through a sensory journey that in addition to appealing to the senses through art It also contains, in essence, a didactic interest without forgetting the entertainment.
The objective is to walk through Dalí’s creative mind through sets, more than 60 works digitized in large format and technology (micromappingvirtual and augmented reality). Therein lies the real challenge.
For this, the experience will include an audio-story (in Catalan, Spanish or English) in format podcast that will take us to Figueres, to his childhood, to his travels, to his inseparable Gala, to Portlligat’s studio…
Also a virtual reality experience with which we can fly over the landscapes where he was born and grew up as a surrealist artist, offering us the opportunity to get into the mind of Dalí and witnessing how his iconic works and obsessions come to life.
One of the characteristics of this sample is that it starts with a great time tunnel in which, decade by decade, Dalí’s life, the sociopolitical context surrounding that moment and his growth and evolution as an artist are exposed.
Dali Challenge, under the license and supervision of the Gala-Salvador Dalí Foundationwill also display exclusive content such as videos about their jewelry, cinema and literature pieceswhich show the multidisciplinary nature of Catalan.
