The owners wanted their house to serve as a refuge so that their family and friends could enjoy gatherings and time to disconnect and connect with nature. They turned to interior designer Andrea Rodman, who has shaped a vacation home waterfront on Lake Shawnigan. “This location is located about a 45-minute drive from the city of Victoria, on Vancouver Island, British Columbia, and is a welcoming community in the Cowichan Valley,” the interior designer describes the home’s location, located in a center of aquatic activities and hiking trails. “It attracts both year-round residents and seasonal visitors with its mix of homes, cabins and lakeside vacation spots,” notes the person in charge of breathing new life into the space.
Rodman has perfectly achieved the laid-back charm of the Hamptons with the country charm of Vancouver Island. In the cabin-style house he has combined the Beach-breezy feel with the warmth of rustic elements and modern sophisticationresulting in a cozy atmosphere.
